Jingdi Ma…

is a candidate for a BFA in painting and drawing from SUNY New Paltz. Her work deals with the in between and the indefinite of the identity. This stems mainly from her background of being adopted from China and growing up in a racially ambiguous nature. Besides identity, her work also focuses on method and time sensitivity as some works are labor intensive and others are instantaneous. The two extremes come together to make a body of work that manifests what is and what isn't.
