They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder
But what if it doesn’t
What if you forget
The way I look
The way I smell
The way I laugh
What if I call you
And you say who’s this
Will my voice trigger your memory
What if
Instead of growing fonder
Your heart grows distant
While mine
Fills with guilt
