A Plot For Jon
By M.S. Dean
To prune the urban garden
Seems a task for which no hand’s been made.
No city palm can bear the callus,
Nor country wrist lay down the spade;
And yet, green rows grow thick before me,
As country souls take city shade.
M.S. Dean is a writer and a student. He has been writing poetry since he discovered the art in early 2017. Dean has three pieces in the forthcoming 2018 spring/summer edition of the "Fredericksburg Literary and Art Review" as well as multiple works published in "The Accent" -- a creative arts journal.
Currently, Dean is working towards becoming a certified counselor. He hopes to one day focus his life on assisting ex convicts in their efforts to re-enter society. His goal is to one day help lower recidivism rates by working with legislators towards legitimate prison reform. In his spare time, and only when it beckons, Dean enjoys creating and revising poetry that speaks to the masses.
M.S. Dean resides in Austin, Minnesota.
